The AI receptionist that never lets a patient call go unanswered
68% of patients will call the next provider if nobody answers. FirstRing answers every call on the first ring, schedules appointments, captures new patient information, and handles after-hours calls — so your front desk team focuses on the patients in front of them.

What FirstRing Does
What FirstRing does for medical practices
From appointment scheduling to new patient intake, FirstRing handles every inbound call so your front desk team can focus on patients in the office — not the phone.
📅
Appointment schedulingBooks, reschedules, and confirms appointments around the clock — patients get confirmed slots before they hang up, even at 10pm.
🆕
New patient intakeCaptures insurance, reason for visit, and contact details for new patients — your front desk walks in to a complete record, not a voicemail to decode.
🌙
After-hours coverageAnswers calls when the office is closed, triages urgency, and directs true emergencies to the right resource — so patients aren't left hanging and you're not getting 2am calls about routine appointments.
🔁
Recall and follow-up schedulingHandles patients calling to book their annual physical, follow-up, or specialist referral — the calls that fall through the cracks when front desk is slammed.
📊
Full call logEvery call, transcript, and patient detail lands in your FirstRing dashboard — no sticky notes, no missed messages, no guessing what Mrs. Garcia called about.

Our front desk was missing 8–12 calls a day during peak hours. Those are real patients going somewhere else. FirstRing handles the overflow and I finally know every call got answered.

FAQ
Common questions from medical practices
FirstRing is designed for HIPAA-covered environments. We offer Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) for practices on our paid plans, and all call data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We collect only the intake information needed to book the appointment — we don't store clinical data, diagnoses, or treatment history.
Yes. FirstRing identifies potentially urgent situations — chest pain, severe symptoms, medication questions — and directs callers to appropriate resources (911, the on-call provider, urgent care). It never replaces clinical judgment, but it ensures urgent callers don't reach voicemail and wait.
FirstRing captures insurance information from new patients during intake and logs it for your team to verify. For billing questions, it takes a message and routes to the appropriate staff member — it doesn't attempt to answer billing-specific questions, which belong with your billing team.
Direct EHR integrations (Epic, Athena, eClinicalWorks, etc.) are on our roadmap. In the meantime, all appointment details and patient intake land in your FirstRing dashboard — your front desk team transfers bookings to your EHR as part of their morning workflow. Most practices find this takes under 5 minutes a day.
